Email Providers

Get real mailboxes on your domain by connecting it to an email provider.

We don't host mailboxes, but your domain can be connected to an email provider in one step. You then send and receive as you@yourdomain from the provider's app.

Choosing a Provider

ProviderPriceGood for
Zoho MailFree up to 5 usersMost communities and small teams
iCloud+Included with any iCloud+ planPeople who already pay for iCloud
Google WorkspacePaid, per userTeams that want Gmail
Microsoft 365Paid, per userTeams that want Outlook

If you only need to receive mail, Email Forwarding is simpler and needs no provider.

Connecting Your Domain

  1. Create an account with the provider and add your domain there. The provider shows a verification value and, for some providers, a DKIM value.
  2. Open your domain in the Store, go to the DNS tab and click Connect email.
  3. Pick the provider, paste the verification value and, if asked, the DKIM selector and value.
  4. Click Connect, then go back to the provider and run its verification. It can take up to an hour.

Connecting replaces the domain's existing mail (MX) and SPF records, so email forwarding rules stop working.

Where to Find the Values

Zoho Mail. The verification value starts with zoho-verification=. For DKIM, go to the Zoho admin console, open Domains, then Email Configuration, then DKIM, and add a selector. Paste the selector (for example zmail._domainkey) and the value starting with v=DKIM1.

iCloud+. In iCloud settings, open Custom Email Domain and add your domain. The verification value starts with apple-domain=. DKIM is set up automatically.

Google Workspace. The verification value starts with google-site-verification=. DKIM is optional: in the Google admin console, open Apps, Gmail, then Authenticate email, generate a key, and paste the value starting with v=DKIM1.

Microsoft 365. The verification value starts with MS=. DKIM uses two account-specific records that the button doesn't add. You can add them yourself from the DNS records list if you need them.
