Learn how to configure and customize your server settings
The Settings page allows you to customize your server's configuration, adjust variables, and modify server details to suit your needs.
Server Details
In the settings section, you can change basic information about your server like its display name.
Timezone
The timezone setting configures the timezone for your server and schedules. This affects when scheduled actions run and how times are displayed in logs. Choose the timezone that matches your location or your target audience.
Server Variables
Server variables allow you to customize various aspects of your server's behavior without having to edit configuration files directly.
The variables displayed depend heavily on the selected application or game. Common variables might include:
- World generation settings
- Performance configurations
- Game mode options
- Resource limits
- Connection settings

Variable Tags
You might find special tags next to some server variables:
- Advanced: These variables are primarily for experienced users who understand their technical impact
- Reboot: Changes to these variables require restarting the server to take effect
- Repair: Changes to these variables require triggering the repair process to take effect
- Reinstall: Changes to these variables require reinstalling the application to take effect
Saving Changes
When you make changes to your server settings, they are saved automatically as you change them, no need to click a save button.
Some settings may require a server restart to take effect, especially those that impact the server's core functionality.
Keep track of changes you make to your server settings. If your server experiences issues after making changes, you can revert to previous values to troubleshoot the problem.
Your editable variables are also captured in every backup snapshot. If a change causes problems, you can restore them from a snapshot with Restore Settings on the Backups page, without touching your files.
